Crane Ragas
Crane Ragas
Natural Sounds From The Wetlands

This compilation of stereo field recordings brings the wetlands to you.
We have selected two very special recordings that let you hear the quiet
of the pre-dawn hours as well as the cacophony of the evening fly in to
the roost.

Dawn - Isenberg Sandhill Crane Reserve
was recorded as the sun was preparing to rise and the Sandhill Cranes
began their joyous day. Many thanks are due to the Docents who
volunteer at the Isenberg Sandhill Crane Reserve for making this special
recording possible. Runtime: 27:57

Dusk - Staten Island, Cosumnes River Preserve
was recorded deep in the Delta as hundreds of Sandhill Cranes and
thousands of geese returned to the safety of the roost soon after sunset.
The Great Horned Owl who watches over the roost from an unused
water tower can be heard as dusk fully blooms (hint - it's about 6 minutes
in). Runtime: 39:11

This disk is an audio CD which can be played in any standard CD player
or a computer with CD player software installed.

Total Runtime: 67:13
